Title:

westbound I-64 will be reduced to one lane between 18th Street and 10th Street in East St. Louis

 Volume/Number:  2011 October 20
 Issuing Agency:
Description:  The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that westbound I-64 will be reduced to one lane between 18th Street and 10th Street in East St. Louis beginning at 7:00 pm Monday, October 24, 2011 until 6:00 am the following morning, weather permitting. In addition, eastbound I-64 will be reduced to one lane between 18th Street and 10th Street starting at 7:00 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2011 until 6:00 am the following morning. These lane restrictions are necessary to set a sign truss over I-64. Motorists should also expect 15 minute closures while the sign truss is being set over traffic lanes. Traffic will be allowed to clear after each closure. Although delays are expected to be minimal, please consider alternate routes or use extra caution when traveling through this area. The contractor on this project is Keeley and Sons from East St. Louis, Illinois. John Scheibal is the Supervising Field Engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation in this area. If you have questions concerning this project, you may contact him at 618/346-3353.
