 Description:  The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that lane closures will occur on eastbound and westbound I-70 from 2 miles east of I-55/70/270 interchange (17 MM) to the U.S. Route 40 interchange at Pocahontas (36 MM). These lane closures are necessary to remove and replace areas of damaged pavement in various locations. Work will begin on Monday, September 10, 2012 and should be completed by October 11, 2012, weather permitting.
