 Description:  This report summarizes the results of a process and impact evaluation of Cook County's State's Attorney's Victim Witness Assistance Program (CCSAOVWAP). The goal of CCSAOVWAP is "to provide caring and compassionate assistance" to crime victims and their families whose cases are prosecuted by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office (CCSAO). Program staff are available to assist crime victims throughout the criminal justice process; from the preliminary hearing stage to post-conviction proceedings.
