 Description:  The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is continuing preliminary engineering and environmental studies for the Corridor Expansion Program of Intercity Passenger Rail service from Chicago to the Quad Cities. The Chicago to Quad Cities Passenger Rail service is proposed to include two round trips per day (four passenger trains each day) from Chicago to the Quad Cities (Moline) and serving other intermediate locations including LaGrange, Naperville, Plano, Mendota, Princeton and Geneseo. New stations are proposed for Moline and Geneseo.
