These new minimum monitoring requirements for NO2 are in support of a one-hour NO2National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) and require installation of near-road NO2monitoring stations at locations where peak hourly NO2 concentrations are expected to occurwithin the near-road environment in large urban areas.
