 Description:  Service Employees International Union, Local 73 and County of Cook: On March 25, 2013, Executive Director Melissa Mlynski issued a partial dismissal of an unfair labor practice charge filed by the Service Employees International Union, Local 73 (Charging Party) in the above-referenced case. The Charging Party alleged that the County of Cook (Respondent) engaged in unfair labor practices within the meaning of Section 10(a) of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act, 5 ILCS 315/10(a)(2010), by (1) unilaterally changing the past practice of when it began paying employees added to an existing bargaining unit in accordance with the parties' collective bargaining agreement, (2) failing to respond to the Charging Party's request for relevant information concerning that change and (3) failing to implement the parties' tentative successor collective bargaining agreement. The Executive Director dismissed the allegations regarding the alleged unilateral change and failure to provide information but issued a complaint for hearing as to the tentative agreement.

 Description:  Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 241 and Chicago Transit Authority: On April 22, 2011, Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 241 (Union or Charging Party) filed a charge with the Illinois Labor Relations Board's Local Panel (Board), alleging that the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA or Respondent) engaged in unfair labor practices within the meaning of Section 10(a)(4) and (1) of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act (Act) 5 ILCS 315(2010), as amended.
