 Description:  Illinois Conservation Police Officers issued 23 citations to hikers violating restricted areas of Starved Rock State Park over the Fourth of July weekend. Some areas of the park remain closed due to dangerous conditions caused by storms that hit the area a week ago. Hanging limbs and damaged trees could still fall and cause injury. Crews are working as fast as possible to clear downed trees and other debris. Posts and signs have been installed to alert hikers to closed trails.
