 Description:  A total of 321 (73%) women responded to the 2001 Illinois Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) Survey. All of these women had signed up for and/or participated in BOW workshops. Eighty-three percent of the women had attended >1 workshops, with most doing so to develop or improve their skills in outdoor activities. The results of the survey are the basis of this report. The objective of this study was to profile the outdoor-related activities and attitudes of women who have signed up for and/or participated in Becoming an Outdoor-Woman (BOW) workshops. BOW workshops are sponsored by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and are conducted periodically at locations throughout the state.

THE ILLINOIS SHOOTING RANGE SURVEY: HUNTER USE, ATTITUDES, AND OPINIONS

 Description:  A total of 1,324 (58%) resident Illinois Habitat Stamp purchasers (all current or former hunters) responded to the 2001 Illinois Shooting Range Survey. This report is based on the results of that survey. One-third (34%) of these hunters had used a shooting range during the past 12 months. The range users visited private ranges (92%) more frequently than public ranges (48%), primarily to engage in the shotgun shooting sports: sporting clays, trap, etc. Rifle shooting was also relatively popular on private ranges. Two-thirds (68%) of the hunters felt a need for more shooting ranges, with the need being highest (84%) in Administrative Region 2. Attitudes of hunters toward shooting sports are profiled, as are some personal characteristics of hunters. One third (34%) of respondents belonged to the National Rifle Association.

 Description:  A random sample of 2,000 nonresident hunters was selected for a mail survey conducted during late winter 2000. A total of 1,358 (75%) completed questionnaires were received. States of residence for the hunters in the random sample indicated that the majority (49%) of nonresident hunters in Illinois came from the surrounding states of Missouri (25%), Indiana (12%), and Iowa (12%). The results of these surveys are the basis of this report.

Illinois residents were stratified by those residing in counties served by the Lumpkin Family Foundation and the remainder of the state. Response rates were 49% for residents of counties in the Lumpkin Foundation area of focus, 43% from residents of the remaining counties in Illinois, and 44% from county policymakers. In general, members of the public are more concerned about water quality than county decision-makers. The results of these surveys are the basis of this report.

Adm. Code 415. The statistics presented in this comparison rely upon data filed with this Commission by the utilities in the Form 21 ILCC, as well as, data from the FERC Form No. 1 and clarifying information from the utilities. This comparison provides statistics for four categories of service: Bundled Service. Delivery Service-Power Purchase Option. Customers in the DS-PPO category purchase electricity directly from their utility; DS-PPO revenues include the delivery service charge, the transition charge, the transmission charge, and the generation charge. Delivery Service-Interim Supply Service. Customers in the DS-ISS category purchase electricity directly from their utility; DS-ISS revenues include the delivery service charge, the transition charge, the transmission charge, and the generation charge. Interim Supply Service is a short-term service designed for delivery services customers who have not chosen a new supply option after termination of their supply contracts. Delivery Service-Delivery of RES Retail Electric Supplier Power. Customers in the DS-RES category purchase electricity from a supplier other than their utility; DS-RES revenues include the delivery service charge and the associated transition charge.
