 Description:  This evaluation summary highlights findings from the 2002 study of Chicagos Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS). The results focus on problem solving as one of the core elements of CAPS. As in many cities, problem solving is one of the key components of Chicagos community policing program. A problem is defined as a group of related incidents or situations that concern a significant portion of those who live or work in a particular area.
