  • The Authority has earmarked Justice Assistance Act (JAA) funds for a Statewide crime prevention campaign, new computerized information systems for more than two dozen Downstate sheriffs, state's attorneys and police departments, and more training for criminal justice officials. The Authority has also set aside JAA money to help Cook County authorities expand their effort to identify and process serious and repent offenders.
