  • Press Release: The Illinois Department of Transportation was joined today by the City of Alton and Amtrak to announce the completion of the new Regional Multimodal Transportation Center. The new Alton station, the latest of several station improvements overseen by IDOT along the Chicago-St. Louis passenger rail corridor, opened to Amtrak service Wednesday, Sept. 13.
