Hewitt, 77 Ill. 2d 49 (1979), which held that Illinois public policy, as setforth in this States statutory prohibition against common-law marriage, precludes unmarriedcohabitants from bringing claims against one another to enforce mutual property rights wherethe rights asserted are rooted in a marriage-like relationship between the parties.
