- A group of House and Senate Republicans today introduced legislation that would put on the November ballot a statewide advisory referendum asking voters whether or not the five percent temporary income tax increase should become permanent. Among those members were Representatives Dennis Reboletti (R-Elmhurst), Ron Sandack (R-Downers Grove), Ed Sullivan Jr. (R-Mundelein) and Senators Matt Murphy (R-Palatine), Pamela Althoff (R-Crystal Lake), and Sue Rezin (R-Morris).
