  • The Illinois Department on Aging will host a lineup of special activities today, August 11, Senior Day at the State Fair, when attendees 60 years of age and older are admitted for free. The State Fair runs through August 17. Each day of the fair, department staff and partners offer free health screenings, and information about programs and services to benefit seniors. Todays Senior Day promises to be a day of fun with the return of contest favorites, such as the Not So Newlywed Game and the Illinois Senior Spelling Bee finals.
