TitleDept. on Aging kicks off a series of public hearings December 5 on expanding long term care ombudsman service
- The Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA) will host a series of public hearings to receive input from stakeholders on the expansion of the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program. The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program provides advocacy services for residents of long term care facilities. The decision to expand the Ombudsman Program to home care and managed care settings ensures that long term care consumers have a voice regardless of the means of care.
