  • The Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal today announced a new canine member of the Arson Division Investigative team. Arson Investigator Mitch Kushner and his new partner Zoe will be assigned to investigate suspicious fires in the Chicago area. Zoe is now a certified arson canine after completing a 5-week training program. The four-legged arson investigator is trained to sniff out accelerants used to start fires and assist local and state authorities in investigating and prosecuting arson cases.
