  • The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Illinois State Police (ISP) are partnering to provide increased enforcement using photo speed enforcement in work zones on I-57 in Kankakee to help decrease speeds, improve driver attentiveness and save lives in the area. The media is invited to a demonstration of the photo speed enforcement van on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at 270 N. Schuyler Avenue in Kankakee. Photo speed enforcement can be utilized when workers are present in the work zone and is an additional tool for the Illinois State Police to enforce work zone speed limits.
