  • Illinois added 7,100 private sector jobs in July and the unemployment rate was 9.2 percent, according to preliminary data released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES). Illinois added 62,100 private sector jobs compared to July 2012. The data is seasonally adjusted.
