  • Association of Professional Police Officers -vs- City of Aurora (Police Department): On May 26, 2011, Executive Director John F. Brosnan dismissed the unfair labor practice charge filed by the Association of Professional Police Officers (Charging Party) in the above-referenced case. The Charging Party alleged that the City of Aurora (Police Department)(Respondent) engaged in unfair labor practices within the meaning of Section 10(a) of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act, 5 ILCS 315/10(a)(2012), by retaliating against employees represented by Charging Party because they had engaged in union or protected, concerted activity and by failing to bargain in good faith with Charging Party.
