  • On February 24, 2012, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, Council 31 (Petitioner or Union), filed a majority interest petition in Case No. S-RC-13-046 with the State Panel of the Illinois Labor Relations Board (Board) pursuant to the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act, 5 ILCS 315 (2010) as amended (Act), and the Rules and Regulations of the Illinois Labor Relations Board, 80 Ill. Admin. Code, Part 1200 through 1240 (Rules). This petition seeks to include all full-time and regular part-time employees of the City of Columbia in the titles of emergency medical technician (EMT) and paramedic. The Employer objects to the representation of these employees.
