  • The Departments year-end financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to the Illinois Office of the Comptroller (Comptroller) was untimely and contained numerous inaccuracies. These problems, if not detected and corrected, could materially misstate the Departments financial statements and negatively impact the Statewide financial statements prepared by the Comptroller.
