  • The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that construction work on the US 20 bridge over the Galena River in Galena has started. Kovilic Construction Company is beginning the project to replace the expansion joints on the bridge deck and make other minor repairs to the structure. The $288,023 contract is scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
