  • GALESBURG - The Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal (OSFM) will be presenting a special award for heroism to a Galesburg firefighter. The firefighter is scheduled to receive the Medal of Valor Award in a special ceremony, in advance of the State Firefighter Medal of Honor Ceremony scheduled for May 10th in Springfield, as he prepares for a National Guard deployment.
