  • This report was the first project in the State of Illinois to combine detailed watershed planning with a Clean Lakes study. Implementing a watershed plan in conjunction with lake restoration activities will greatly enhance the benefits expected from proposed actions by identifying proactive restoration solutions in addition to retroactive restoration solutions. This holistic approach should enhance the outcome of recommendations from this report and help the Lake Carlinville community to understand that watershed management and lake restoration are truly interrelated.
