- Earlier today, Patricia Popejoy was sentenced to 180 days in the McLean County jail, 48 months of probation including home confinement until 1/1/14, 300 hours of community service and ordered to pay $491,380 in restitution to the State of Illinois. She must also file amended tax returns and pay the additional taxes she owes for 2005-2008. Popejoy pleaded guilty in the McLean County Circuit Court in July to financial exploitation of a disabled person a Class 1 Felony; and to tax fraud on her 2008 Illinois income tax return a Class 4 Felony.
