  • Inmate Cesar Sanchez K55087 was captured at approximately 8:15PM by a taskforce including Will County Sheriff, Illinois Department of Corrections Parole and Apprehension Unit, U.S. Marshalls, Illinois State Police, and local law enforcement agencies. With public safety being the top priority our taskforce was mobilized in rapid response to information that the offender had escaped custody from a transport van moving him from the Courthouse in Bridgeview to Stateville Correctional Center in Crest Hill. The offender was found still in handcuffs and his tan jumpsuit, in a port-a-potty located near the Rockdale Waste Mgmt site. IDOC would like to thank each of the law enforcement agencies that have supported and assisted us in the search and capture of Sanchez.
