  • The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will host a public information meeting on the improvement of Interstate 55 around Springfield, from south of the Sixth Street interchange to north of the Sherman interchange. The agency is beginning a Phase 1 (planning) study for the improvement and encourages all interested residents to attend.
