  • John K. Holton, Ph.D., director of the Illinois Department on Aging will attend the grand opening of a new supportive living community, in Anna. River to River Residential Corporation is opening a 50 unit supportive living facility. Illinois developed the Supportive Living Program for low-income older adults and persons with disabilities to live in apartment-style housing combined with personal care and other services. Director Holton will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony which celebrates the states commitment to emphasizing an alternative to nursing home care for its older adults.
