  • The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that weather permitting, beams for the new structure carrying I 57 over IL 50 will be erected on the nights of November 15 and 16, 2011. Closure of the traffic lanes will be necessary as beams are lifted into place and will be reopened and traffic allowed to clear prior to the next beam being lifted.
