  • Public Act 96-1374 (formerly HB 4209) which calls for the appointment of an Instructional Mandates Task Force became effective on July 29, 2010. The task force is charged to explore and examine all existing instructional mandates governing the public schools of this State and shall make recommendations concerning, but not limited to, the propriety of all existing mandates, the imposition of future mandates, and waivers of instructional mandates. The task force shall ensure that its recommendations include specifics regarding funding to carry out identified responsibilities.
