  • This manual has been prepared to train the student to become a Concrete Tester. The manual discusses the various tests performed on plastic portland cement concrete, for Illinois Department of Transportation, herein referred to as "IDOT" or "the Department", Quality Control/Quality Assurance QC/QA projects. The manual is intended only to provide basic information to perform tests, and shall not be used to replace the Department's "Manual of Test Procedures for Materials" which shall have precedence when determining the correct method to perform a test.
