  • The Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal in conjunction with the Office of Governor Pat Quinn proclaim September as the Campus Fire Safety Awareness Month and September 22 as LOOK UP! Pay it Forward Day in Illinois. The campaign is an effort to educate college students about fire safety awareness while living in off campus housing. Once a year OSFM and Illinois fire departments work with Illinois colleges and universities in an effort to spread the message of fire safety to college students.
