  • The Illinois EPA will be at the Chemetco Superfund site in Hartford to oversee the removal of the large manifolds from the roof of the facility. The manifolds gave the foundry its distinctive appearance. This is a major step toward the overall demolition of the facility, which has been an eyesore for many years. The remaining demolition should be completed by the end of the year.
