  • State and federal assessment teams will be in Northwestern Illinois next week to document costs to local governments and damages to homes and businesses caused by flash flooding that struck the area July 27. The teams will include representatives from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
