  • The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has granted the Exelon Generations Dresden Station a provisional variance from the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) water discharge permitted temperature limits, due to the extreme weather conditions. The Exelon Dresden nuclear fueled generating facility is located near the confluence of the Des Plaines and Kankakee rivers near Morris.
