  • Governor Pat Quinn announced today that the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) will offer immediate food assistance for flood victims in Wabash County beginning Thursday, June 30. The USDAs Food and Nutrition Services has authorized IDHS to offer special Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for residents of 15 counties declared federal disaster areas as a result of flooding in late April and early May.
