  • The Illinois State Police announced today its partnership with the Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan State Police agencies in a pre-fourth of July enforcement initiative targeting unsafe driving practices. Each of the state police agencies participating in the initiative will determine which violations their respective agency will focus on during the enforcement period. During Operation STARS, the Illinois State Police will concentrate on Speeding, Texting, Alcohol, Reckless Driving and Seat belt violations.
