  • The Illinois Conservation Police received a 911 call at 3:40 PM in reference to a boat accident on Pierce Lake. Four male subjects were in a canoe when it capsized and one of the young men disappeared under the water. A Conservation Police Officer was on scene at 3:41 PM. and entered the water in a rescue attempt, but was unable to locate the victim. Loves Park Fire arrived and recovered the victim a short time later.
