  • CHICAGO The official launch of Illinois Saves will be held during Money Smart Week on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Illinois Saves is a public-private partnership established by Governor Pat Quinn between the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, the office of Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford, financial institutions, and financial literacy providers, to provide un-banked Illinois residents with an opportunity to establish a savings account with favorable terms at banks and credit unions across the state.
