  • - Illinois Transportation Secretary Gary Hannig, joined by local officials, announced the second major construction project to widen the existing IL Rte. 159. The $3.9 million project will widen IL Rte. 159 from Church Street through downtown Collinsville to Johnson Street. The project is expected to support approximately 50 jobs, improve vehicular and pedestrian safety, reduce traffic congestion and improve access to local businesses.
