  • The Illinois Department of Transportation announces today that weather permitting, construction work on IL 2 at the east edge of Sterling will begin on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Northwest Illinois Construction Company is starting the $3 million project to improve the 2.2 mile section of IL 2 from 4th Street to 45th Avenue.
