  • The Illinois Department of Transportation announces today that weather permitting, construction work on Avenue of the Cities from Kennedy Drive to the Rock River will begin on Monday, August 9, 2010. Valley Construction will be making improvements to the 4.4 mile section of roadway. The $2.7 million project is scheduled to be completed by the end of November.
