  • JUSTICE BURKE delivered the judgment of the court, with opinion. Chief Justice Fitzgerald and Justices Freeman, Thomas, Kilbride, Garman, and Karmeier concurred in the judgment and opinion. A Peoria County jury found this defendant guilty of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on the basis of unloaded handguns found in the center console of his vehicle after he was stopped by police for making a right turn without signaling in 2006.
