  • The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) and the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) have worked together closely to implement the Veterans Health Insurance Program Act. This report describes the development, operation and status of Veterans Care for the first six months of the programs operation, September 1, 2006 through February 28, 2007, as required in the Veterans Health Insurance Program Act [330 ILCS 125/45].
