- Press release: The Illinois Department of Transportation is warning residents to expect noise around the Kennedy Expressway Hubbards Cave and the I-290 Circle project between Monroe and Jackson. The purpose of this project is to improve the traffic flow of the exit and entrance ramps through this section of the Kennedy Expressway. The Department advises that contractors are driving piles of steel between Monroe and Jackson and this will cause major noise between the hours of 7am through early evening.
