  • Pub-127, Instructions for Industrial Schedules, is issued according to Section 8-5of the Property Tax Code which states, The Department shall confer with, advise,and assist local assessment officers relative to the performance of their duties. This publication includes schedules for industrial buildings by square foot (SF) cost, pre-engineered steel building shells, component-in-place (CIP) method, and grain elevators. The pricing schedules here have been developed to help assessors estimate the replacement cost of typical industrial structures. The assessors professional judgement still greatly affects the outcome of this system.
