  • This manual has been prepared to train the student to become a Concrete Tester. The manual discusses the various tests performed on plastic portland cement concrete, for Illinois Department of Transportation Quality Control/Quality Assurance projects. The manual is intended only to provide basic information to perform tests, and shall not be used to replace the Department's "Manual of Test Procedures for Materials" which shall have precedence when determining the correct method to perform a test.
