  • This brochure provides advance notice and alternate route information for the Interstate 57 Southbound reconstruction to begin July 16, 2009. IDOT will be removing the existing asphalt surface, rubblizing the original concrete pavement to create an aggregate base and constructing a new asphalt pavement over the aggregate base for an 8.5 mile stretch of southbound I-57.
