  • Affirmative Action Programs are designed to correct underutilization of groups of people who have been historically subjected to unequal treatment. This is the Illinois Department of Transportation policy of affirmative action and diversity designed to work toward equal employment opportunities for underrepresented groups.The department has a diversity of employees within the workplace that represents a wide variety of groupings that include minority, non minority, males and females, young, senior and persons with disabilities. The recently created Professional Students with Disabilities Program, spearheaded by our ADA Specialist, DaveDailey, is quickly making vast improvements in this area.
