- Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd), filed a Verified Petition with the Illinois Commerce Commission (Commission) seeking authority and approval (i) to enter into a loan agreement or loan agreements (Loan Agreements) with one or more banks, other lending institutions and to incur loans thereunder; (ii) to issue and sell its First Mortgage Bonds (the Bonds), in one or more series; (iii) to issue and sell its Notes (the Notes), in one or more series; and (iv) to issue and sell preferred trust securities (Preferred Trust Securities), in one or more series and, in connection therewith, to issue and sell subordinated notes (Subordinated Debt Securities and, together with the Bonds, Notes, and Trust Securities, the Securities), in one or more series; all in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $700,000,000 for the purpose, inter alia, of supplementing ComEds working capital, which will be used for general corporate purposes, and to enter into certain agreements and take certain actions in connection therewith.
